Final Magazine Cover
- C O M R A D E -
My magazine is based on friendship in the sixth form and how to support your best friend through the two year struggle of A level work.
WWW: The photo and the layout was exactly how I wanted it and it looks similar to how I planned it. The colours contrast against the background so it is easy to read and the layout of the different sizes create a 'teenage' style theme, which is suitable for its audiences as they are from 16 to 18 years old.
EBI: By the use of pink and with only one type of gender on the front cover, it may be seen as biased and more towards the female audiences.
School Magazine | Plan
- C O M R A D E -
This was my final sketch of my magazine and how I wanted it to look like. I chose the name 'comrade' as it means :- a college or a fellow member of an organisation, and its synonyms are: friends and companions. It is suitable for my magazine as it relates to the topic of friendship.
I first found this font on pinterest.com and the font is called Sickamore. It is a powerful and edgy styled font which i think relates to teenagers now-a-days. It also grabs your attention and stands out because of its urban uniqueness.
Planning Ideas
Front Cover Story
My front cover story will be about friendship in sixth form and how to juggle it with school work. I visualise this by having a group of friends as my models.
Mast Head
My magazine title will be called COMRADE as it means a fellow member of an organisation and its synonyms are companions and friends. I decided to use it as it relates to the topic of my magazine which is friendship. I would want the font to be urban to represent teenagers.
Main Image
The main image will be of a group of friends possibly three or more. I would visualise them smiling and being close to each other. The shot will be from the torso and up.
Mise-en-scene
The models will wear school uniform as it is a school magazine. The location of the photo will be outdoors either by the marzipan area which shows the school building as it represents St Angela school. Also, as it is taken outdoors there will be natural lighting to enhance the models.
Colour Scheme
I intend on using white and black as it stands out. Also, I would decide what ever colour contrasts against the photo.
